Updating your CV and LinkedIn profile, writing applications, reaching out to contacts, networking, preparing for interviews… the process can quickly become exhausting, especially when results do not come as quickly as you had hoped.

So how do you stay motivated?

✅ Plan and structure your days. Set realistic goals and break your job search into small, manageable steps.

Take breaks. You do not need to spend the whole day job hunting. Protecting your energy to prevent #burnout is necessary.

Celebrate your progress including the number of applications sent, new contacts made, an inspiring conversation, an improved CV, an interview, a new skill learned.

Get out from behind the screen in the real world! Do not spend weeks perfecting your CV or pitch. Test your CV by talking about it with real people.  Tell people what you are looking for and what you can bring.

Reconnect with your motivation. Ask yourself: Why am I looking for a job? What am I hoping to find? Why does it matter to me? Which needs and values are behind this change?

Ask for support. You do not have to do it alone. Your network, professional communities and a coach 😊 can help you gain perspective, stay accountable and keep moving forward.

As a coach, I can help you with formulating or fine tuning your professional mission statement clarifying what matters to you, what you want to contribute and thus what you are looking for can give your job search more #direction and #meaning.

Feeling stuck or in need of a boost? A few coaching sessions can sometimes help you regain clarity, confidence and motivation.
