Hello!
My name is Fanny Baert
Throughout my life I had to adjust to new situations and I implemented change many times. Right now, with the youngest one of my three adult children also leaving the family home to study and work abroad, I have to get used to an empty nest.
I started out as an international sales manager for a Belgian company but then worked mostly in the humanitarian and not for profit sector. As an Emergency Response Unit officer at the International Red Cross, I traveled all over the world and I had the opportunity to work with persons of various cultures and nationalities. With my family I moved four times and I lived and worked in four different countries. Each time, I had to adjust to a new personal and professional environment. It was not always easy as I had to find a balance between the needs of my family and my personal and professional interests.
It has always been important to me to have a purpose and meaningful job doing my part in creating a better world. With ups and downs, I was able to find my mission and meaning wherever I was and I used my values such as courage, entrepreneurship, creativity and 'hunger for learning' to find my purpose.
For the last 15 years, I have worked in the development and coordination of partnerships and communications bringing people and their organisations together by finding common values and building bridges.

I have decided to consolidate and develop my life long skills and experience by becoming a coach eager to help YOU to find your values and purpose and adjust to change in YOUR life.

My Education
I graduated as a Professional Coach from the Académie Européenne de Coaching. I have followed specialised courses in Life Coaching, Career Coaching, Stress Management and the Foundation of Neurosciences to help me understand how our brains functions and how we can stimulate it.
I hold a M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Leuven. I also obtained a Certificate in Non Profit Management from Duke University (NC, USA) and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Corporate Social Responsibility from the University of Geneva.
I followed specific training programs related to emotional intelligence, happiness, communications and building partnerships.
Dutch is my mother tongue. I speak and write fluently in English and French.

My Passions
Nature and especially water give me strength and calmness. I swim two to three times a week in my neighbourhood swimming pool. I am also training to swim longer distances in open water.
I love skiing, hiking and exploring the world with friends and family and June, my eager Golden Retriever. I like to discover new places and to immerse myself in local experiences. I like to work with my hands as well so I knit sweaters and scarves especially during winter. Finally, I like to connect with people and hear their stories.
